The Tana River County leaders have commended President William Ruto's efforts to establish a broad-based government.
They praised the action, claiming it had brought the nation together and in peace.
Leaders led by Former Tana River Governor Hussein Dado in Kilelengwani, on Monday, August 19, 2024, declared that they had welcomed the new government as leaders of Tana River.
"We support the efforts of President William Samoei Ruto to establish a broad-based government which is a unity government, which has brought peace to this nation," said Dado.
They added that the country's political stability, which was deteriorating due to divisions, had improved with the broad-based government.
"Kenya was swaying now things are fine," he stated.
They pleaded with Ruto to continue bringing Kenyans together and foster an atmosphere that will improve the country's economy.
Under the broad-based government, the government has collaborated closely with the opposition to carry out important development projects for Kenyans.
Following the UDA party, Ruto's administration was perceived to be strengthened when the ODM, which has a large following in Kenya, joined the government.
Raila Odinga clarified that he sent the four ODM members because he has faith in their ability to work extremely well within the government to ensure Kenyans receive services.
Ruto addressed the reports that ODM had joined the government, saying that their combined efforts were aimed at bringing Kenyans together and fostering cooperation.
