Unapangwa - Kenyans tell Mudavadi after ANC aspirant steps down for UDA candidate
The Kenya Kwanza Alliance on Monday, April 4, 2022, settled on the coalition's gubernatorial flag bearer for Kisii County ahead of the August 9 general elections.
In a press briefing at the Karen Residence, Deputy President William Ruto, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi along with other Kenya Kwanza leaders, announced that they had settled on Nyaribari Masaba Member of Parliament Ezekiel Machogu to fly the coalition's flag in Kisii.
"The Kenya Kwanza Alliance commends Charles Matoke of ANC for shelving his Gubernatorial ambition in Kisii County to support Ezekiel Machogu of UDA," DP Ruto stated.

The coalition also announced that Okeng'o Joel Nyambane of UDA had shelved his Kisii County senatorial ambitions in favour of Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.
The move by Kenya Kwanza added several others over the past month.
On Wednesday, March 23, the coalition endorsed UDA's Hussein Dado to contest the Tana River gubernatorial seat. Dado was the county’s first governor before losing to Governor Dhadho Godhana in 2017.
On March 23, DP Ruto brokered a deal between former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and incumbent, Cleophas Malala. The two leaders, Malala of ANC, and Khalwale of UDA agreed to contest the gubernatorial and senate seats respectively.
On March 22, Kenya Kwanza endorsed Patrick Ntutu as the coalition’s gubernatorial candidate for Narok County. Ntutu was endorsed during a rally held at Olopirik Farm.
On March 25, Deputy Governor Ahmed Ali Mukhtar was endorsed as the UDA Gubernatorial aspirant for Wajir County.

A section of netizens noted that the coalition has endorsed more UDA leaders to fly the coalition's flag in various parts of the country, despite the coalition comprising several parties including ANC and Senator Moses Wetangula led FORD-Kenya.
"Kachama kanamalizwa, ANC will never have anything a Governor in Kenya, it's shelving everything for Uda home and away, Mululu legend Musalia mUDAvadi can not can, Weta the 5th can't even argue in the bargaining table, he has Ford K with 1 senator who is him, Wanapangwa," one tweep stated.
"Watu wanapangwa kwa boardroom,halafu mna sema hampangwingwi. Mnachezea shere akina MAMA na BODABODA," Paul Saka stated.
"UDA eating up ANC alive as if Raila raiding Mdvd wasn't enough," another added.
"ANC inazidi kupangwa Mudavadi akipiga makofi anyways he hardly care bora mfuke inone," another tweep claimed.
However, a section welcomed the move by the DP to unify the leaders ahead of the August polls.
