The Ameru political leaders have vowed not to relent until they ensure justice prevails for Daniel Muthiani alias"Sniper" who was abducted, tortured, murdered and his body dumped in Mutonga River in Tharaka Nithi County.

Led by the Chair Meru Parliamentary Caucus Mugambi Rindikiri, the leaders strongly condemned the heinous murder of the blogger saying it is suspected to be politically instigated due to his strong stand in criticizing some politicians in the County.

Speaking at Maua town in Igembe South Sub-county during a procession in honour of the late Muthiani, Rindikiri called the security agencies led by the homicide division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to expedite the investigations into the matter.

“The blogger who has left a five and one-year-old baby was found murdered and is body dumped in Tharaka Nithi County." said Tigania East MP.Mpuru Aburi.

The residents have vowed not to bury the body of the deceased untill the culprits are brought to book.

The body was transferred to Maua Methodist mortuary from Marimanti mortuary where the procession began through the nine sub-counties and concluded in Maua town.
