Haji Trust Foundation distributes food and non- food items to Ijara residents

The Haji Trust Foundation has distributed food and non-food items to destitute residents and orphans in Hulugho, Ijara and Bothai Sub Counties as heavy rains continues to pound the region.

Food rations and other essential supplies were airlifted using a helicopter and included rice, beans, cooking oil, mosquito nets, soap, cooking oil and wheat flour and blankets which was given out to orphanage centres.

Residents led by Dud Mohamed, Mohamed Hussin Haji and Abdi Elmoge thanked the foundation for the humanitarian gesture to the destitute and orphans which they said was a show of empathy and solidarity with the needy.

The foundation is run by the late Yussuf Haji’s sons Senator Abdul Mohammed and Nordin Haji who is Director General National Security Intelligence Service.
