Woman charged with pouring hot water on her neighbour

A middle-aged woman was today arraigned in a Mombasa Courts to answer to charges of  causing grievous harm by pouring hot water on her neighbour in Ujamaa, Likoni Sub-County.

The accused, Mwanamisi Mwachupa appeared before Chief Magistrate Vincent Adate, and denied pouring hot water on Mwamkasi Hamadi in the presence of her two children on  January 26, 2023.

Mwanamisi told the court that she had a fight with Mwamkasi about a love affair with their landlord and not about the pouring of hot water.

The chief magistrate released the accused on a cash bail of Sh30,000.The case will be mentioned again on June 28 this year.
