Akothee responds to allegations of stealing another woman's husband

On Sunday, July 16, singer Esther Akothe aka Akothee and her husband Denis Shweizer celebrated one year of engagement.

The couple met in Zurich, Switzerland on July 16, 2022 and began their love journey before getting married in May this year.

In her statement on Sunday, the mother of five revealed that her white husband put an engagement ring on her on their third meeting and then introduced her to his parents in Italy.

"On July 16, 2022, I met my husband in Switzerland in the city of Zurich on the Zug lake. On July 18, 2022 we had a second meeting in the city of Bern on the Murten sea. He did not let me go back to my residence. We stuck together like glue." She narrated.

"He escorted me to Germany Dusseldorf where my show was canceled. The promoter refused to pay the balance of the show because I showed up with a man and he expected to see me alone so I didn't do the show even though it was sold out..Our third meeting was in the mountains, Denis Omondi spoiled me with romance.. I forgot myself and he swept me off my feet. Then he proposed to me and asked if he could introduce me to his family. I said yes I am already there. We then drove to Italy and on his mother's birthday, he was proud to introduce his wife-to-be," Akothee recounted.

The 43-year-old singer praised her in-laws and revealed that they are a private family that is not on social media.

She also revealed that he wedding plans with the white man started in September last year when he visited Kenya.

"It was supposed to be NYOMBO but things fall apart. We had a lot of changes, of venue, theme blah blah. It was not easy as it was a shock for everyone. The name OMOSH came from me, I am interested in my husband's morning routine and the way he does his things, Omondi is the man I have always wanted to be with, he is my male version when it comes to work," she said .

Akothee also talked about the loss of her pregnancy with Omosh at the end of last year, family disputes and other hardships that they faced together.

"On November 4, 2022 we were announced as pregnant, the journey to raise a child began, Mr Omosh called his child Esedua. Omosh returned to his country to announce the news to his family and he returned on December 16, 2022. On December 17, we miscarried. On the same day, his piglets were born. We had a lot to deal with away from the camera. Family conflict from my side, business, relationship, upcoming wedding, loss of our new baby and online sensational cases, blogs and fake stories,” Akothee narrated.

Following his statement to celebrate the one year anniversary, she also had to talk about the allegations of stealing her husband from another woman after a netizen accused her.

"Happy anniversary, what about the rumors that you stole a husband?? " asked a fan.

She replied, "You already said it's a rumor, what answer do you want? Because it's a handbag, the one that was stolen, have you seen it for that love story ?"
