Questions have emerged as to whether Kirinyaga Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici has returned to the Jubilee party.
Ngirici who is eyeing the Kirinyaga County gubernatorial seat in the upcoming August 9, 2022, general polls has been popularising her bid as an independent candidate.
But according to a receipt shared on Twitter by blogger Dennis Itumbi, the Woman Rep allegedly paid the Jubilee party nomination fee for the gubernatorial seat of Ksh250,000.

The payment, according to the receipt whose authenticity has not yet been verified was made on March 16, 2022.
Kenyans on Twitter have however expressed mixed reactions concerning the new revelations made by Itumbi, who is also a key digital media strategist for Deputy President William Ruto.
One Twitter user Dennis Nyambane claimed the receipt was not legitimate, pointing to a difference on the receipt number from one shared by Itumbi and the other he noted was the real one.
“You forgot to Edit Receipt Number,” Nyambane replied to the tweet, adding a photo of a receipt for payment made by Omingo Magara who is eyeing the Kisii Senatorial seat.
“Mtu alikam 22nd akapewa receipt no 1298 na yule alikam 16th akapewa 1338???,” noted another user.
Other Twitter users said if it is true she has joined the Jubilee party, it will be hard for her to beat Governor Anne Waiguru who is expected to fly the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket).
“Exposed @WanguiNgirici wajinga walikwisha Kenya. Kumbe unadanganya wafuasi wako uko independent? The same way you are lying to them is the same way utawadanganya uko pats kiti. Sasa twende kazi mama, lazima tukufinye,” said one user.
Another one said, “It will be tough for her, so why is she lying to her supporters that she is vying as an independent? noma Sanaa.”
Ngirici has not yet responded to Itumbi’s tweet.
The Woman Rep, despite selling her candidature as an independent candidate has been seen as still close to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
She attended the Sagana III meeting which was held a few weeks ago.
