DJ Brownskin arrested for 'aiding suicide'

Michael Macharia alias DJ Brownskin is under police custody.

The popular DJ was subjected to a 'low key' arrest on 1st June, 2023, as Kenyans marked the 60th Madaraka Day celebrations.

He is under investigations for aiding suicide of his wife, Sharon Njeri, contrary to Section 225 (C) of the Penal code.

Njeri died between July 29 and 30, 2023, aged 24.

DJ Brownskin was arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers after a controversial video surfaced online.

In the video, the DJ is seemingly seen watching and record his wife take poison, and die at their Garden Estate home, in Kasarani Nairobi.

The case comes up for mention on 9th June, 2023.
