EACC begins search for new CEO

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has commenced the search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Secretary.

The current CEO, Twalib Mbarak's term is nearing the end. He is expected to leave office in January, 2025 having occupied the position since 2019.

EACC in an advert published in Tuesday's copy of My Gov, said all applications for the position should be received not later than October 7, 2024.

Qualified and interested candidates, EACC said, should complete the EACC Form 1 online from https://jobs.integrity.go.ke

"All applications must be made online and will be acknowledged via an email. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview," stated the Commission.

According to the advertisement, interested candidates must be Kenyan citizens,vand should possess a postgraduate degree from a university recognised in Kenya.

They should have experience in any field including ethics and governance, law, public administration, leadership, economics, social studies, audit, accounting, fraud investigation, public relations and media, religious studies, or philosophy.

In addition, those interested in the position must have at least 10 years of experience at management level, and meet all the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, which speaks on leadership and intergrity.

Besides filling the online form, applicants should attach copies of National Identity Card, CV, academic and professional certificates, and testimonials.

Upon end of the application window, names of shortlisted candidates will be published in newspapers and on the Commission website, leaving room for interviews.

Duties of an EACC CEO include being the accounting officer of the Commission, carrying out the decisions of the Commission, day-to-day administration and management of affairs of the Commission and supervision of employees.

Others include coordinating the development and implementation of strategy for the Commission to ensure the achievement of its mandate.
