Defense Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale's book titled For The Record has officially been launched.
The book was launched on Thursday evening at a Nairobi hotel, in a function attended by President William Ruto, his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula among others.
Speaking during the event, President Ruto said Duale has always been a sharp shooter, and that the book lives up to the billing.
"The book recounts a journey that begins in Garissa and ends at the heart of Kenya's politics covering all major political events of the last two decades, including the International Criminal Court cases, the rise and implosion of Jubilee Party, the 2013 and 2017 elections and the Kenya Kwanza victory of 2022," said the Head of State.
"For The Record is a story of faith, public service, leadership and a desire to change lives, especially in Northern Kenya. It provides remarkable access to major political events and political personalities."
His deputy praised the former Garissa Township MP for his loyalty to President Ruto.
Gachagua said the CS decided to stand with Ruto, during his most difficult time as former President Uhuru Kenyatta's deputy.
"Duale's loyalty to H.E President William Ruto despite immense pressure to abandon him is a timely challenge to young politicians who are searching for veterans to emulate," he said.
Gachagua noted that they have a lot to learn from his thoughts, reflections and experiences.
While being interviewed on Citizen TV on Wednesday, Duale said he has been close to Ruto since their days in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
