The National Government has issued a stern warning to leaders in Transmara inciting youths to cause chaos at Nkararo.
The warning was issued by Narok County Commissioner (CC) Isaac Masinde who led a high powered county security team to visit the region on Wednesday June 7, 2023.
The visit came after fresh boundary clashes were reported in the region last week, which resulted to several houses and acres of sugarcane farms being set a blaze.
Heavy security presence was immediately deployed in the region following the attacks hoping to restore sanity.
However, Tuesday this week fresh chaos were reported with several houses being torched.
This has prompted the government to change tact with the CC warning that leaders who may be organising and inciting youths to the chaos will be apprehended.
Confirming intelligence reports which may have indicated powerful magnets having a hand in the conflicts, Masinde warned that all perpetrators of the violence will be brought to book.
"We are urging our youth to stop being used by leaders out to use them for selfish interests.
This wave of violence should come to an end with immediate effect. If we can't see a change, the government will be forced to use other mechanisms to ensure that sanity is restored," he warned.
