Nyandarua Governor Kiarie Badilisha has thanked President Dr. William Ruto for his unwavering support towards actualizing projects he had promised to the county residents during his campaigns in the area.

Badilisha said these projects speak directly to the aspirations of the people of Nyandarua, being part of the collective national development agenda.

Speaking when the President and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua launched construction of the Boiman-Kwa Mumbi road in the area, the governor noted that all the ongoing local projects, in their different phases, will have a great impact on the County’s overall development agenda.

“We thank you Mr. President for coming to launch this road in Ol Joro Orok. This road will help our farmers transport their produce. We are also welcoming you back to the same place to launch the Affordable Housing Project, once we secure some land for that noble initiative. We also thank you for promising us an ultra-modern market,” said Badilisha.

At the same time, the President gladly accepted the Governor’s additional request for structured settling of traders operating within the Kenya Railways land in Ol’Kalou, with the Head of State promising to construct appropriate kiosks and stalls.

Badilisha made the appeal when the President, and his Deputy, officially launched the affordable housing project in Ol’Kalou. President Ruto further promised Sh1.1 billion for electrification in the County and a quick resolution of the Muhu farm squatter problem, as well as support for the Ol’Kalou Dairy Cooperative society to enable it deal adequately with milk farmers obligations.
