Governors Lomorukai and Kiarie attend prayers for peace at Lodwar AIC Milimani

Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai of Turkana and Governor Moses Badilisha Kiarie of Nyandarua attended a church service at the AIC Church Milimani in Lodwar Town. 

The two Governors were joined by Turkana Central MP Emathe Namuar and senior County Government officials, including Chief Officer for Lands and Physical Planning Leah Nasuru, Chief of Staff Peter Yoromoe and TCPSB Commissioner Maj. (Rtd) Daniel Ingolan.

In his sermon, Reverend David Nakain preached on the importance of peace among communities in the region as a prerequisite for development. He urged the congregation to pray for peace and unity in Turkana.

Governor Lomorukai commended Governor Kiarie for his work in Turkana as a long-serving teacher and for investing in education after establishing Erait Academy. 

He also quoted St. Augustine of Hippo on the importance of following God: "To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement."

Governor Kiarie thanked the AIC church for supporting him in his political journey and for their prayers. He also commended Governor Lomorukai for his commitment to developing Turkana and for his passion for transforming the county.

"I have seen the work that Governor Lomorukai is doing in Turkana, and I am impressed. I can assure you that in the Council of Governors, when we are voting on issues affecting the county, Turkana will have two votes - the Governor's and mine," he said.

The Governor was accompanied by Nyandarua County First Governor;s spouse Grace Kiarie. He asked the congregation to pray for Governor Lomorukai for God to guide him as he implements his development agenda for Turkana.
