Exiled Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has claimed ODM leader Raila Odinga has no chances of winning the August 9, 2022 presidential election.
In a tweet on Tuesday night, Miguna sensationally claimed that he will ascend to the presidency before Odinga, arguing that the only way the ODM leader will make it to State is by being a visitor.
“I, Miguna Miguna will be the President of the Republic of Kenya before conman Raila Odinga sleeps over at State House, Nairobi as a visitor,” he tweeted.
"Why are some Kenyans infatuated with mediocrity? I am way more qualified, competent and with more integrity than all the putative presidential candidates, yet some Kenyans prefer the drooling, sleeping, inept conman who would plunge the country into chaos, bankruptcy and sloth," he addedin a separate tweet.
Miguna, who was at one point an advisor to the former Prime Minister is now a harsh critic and has even endorsed Odinga’s main opponent Deputy President William Ruto for the presidency
"There is no way I can support Raila. What they were saying is that even if I am not supporting Raila, I should endorse Ruto. Well, today on a national TV, I 100 per cent endorse William Ruto," Miguna said during an interview with Lookup TV on March 16, 2022.
He urged Kenyans to support Ruto, arguing that he is the best suited leader to end “dynastic tyranny”.

"Without apology, I do hereby say that I Miguna Miguna declare that Kenyans who are committed to freedom and rule of law should vote for Ruto on August 9. I am asking all Kenyans to support him to put to an end this cycle of dynastic tyranny,” he added.
To many observers, it was a matter of when not if Miguna will eventually declare his support for Ruto.
Shortly after United Democratic Alliance (UDA) delegates endorsed Ruto's presidential bid at the Kasarani gymnasium in March, the lawyer took to social media to praise the DP for what he termed as a bold speech.
"We will not surrender to tyranny. We will not bow to anyone. We will not worship anyone. Kenya does not belong to anyone. Kenya belongs to all of us. We will liberate Kenya. Wonderful to see William Ruto and his team echo my message since 1987. Bravo," tweeted the lawyer.
Meanwhile, while in the United Kingdom (UK), Ruto pledged to ensure Miguna is back in the Country if elected the fifth president, to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
