Leaders in Kisumu County have hailed the generation Z for playing a pivotal role and heeding to the call to rescue Kenya at a critical moment pledging their unrivalled support to the gen Z’s urging them to keep on.

Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili hailed the gen Z’s for rescuing Kenya from taking the wrong economic recovery path.

“Allow me to thank the Gen Zs for bringing back our country to us, this country was long wasted by corrupt politicians thanks to the Gen Zs who have resuscitated the country, granting us a golden opportunity to do what is right and putting the country back on track,” pointed Owili.

Owili noted that some of the concerns raised by the Gen Zs are mundane and critical including addressing matters corruption, and the runaway cost of living.

“The Gen Zs have spoken against corruption, they have also condemned the laxity in government, they have also addressed themselves to the high cost of living, including a number of other issues that need to be addressed by the current regime,” noted Owili.

He further said there was urgent need for a radical move to ensure that this country gets back on track hence the gen Z are waiting with belated breath for deliberate actions.

Similar sentiments were expressed by Nyando MP Fred Okello who advised the Gen Zs not to relent on their push on their demands because other leaders are solidly behind them.

“Gen Zs we are with you, do not relent, do not retreat, do not surrender because the moment you do that you will be vanquished because you have done certain things that we have not been able to achieve in ages but in only two weeks you have brought a paradigm shift to the management of this country and we will support you,” assured Okello.

Kisumu Women Representative Mrs Ruth Odinga too joined the clarion support for the Gen Zs whom she lauded for instilling more confidence in the leaders in Kenya.

“Even now am able to walk in parliament in another style, thank you very much Gen Zs and keep going and we are totally behind you and we will support you,” said Odinga.
