Londiani business people resume their daily activity

Business activity has resumed at the Londiani market center, Kericho County despite 54 people dying on the weekend after the trailer lost focus and caused the disaster at the commercial center.

Two days after Kenyans died in a traffic accident at the Londiani commercial center,businessmen at the center have now reverted to their daily activities.

Mirriam Moya, who has been a potato and onion vendor for more than a decade at the center, has suggested that she is probably not making a living.

"That's where we tend to make a living every day. That's why we decided to come because from the moment the accident happened we haven't made a living,our children don't have food so there's nowhere else we'd go,"said Moya.

Except for some other vendors referred to work but with a neck on the side due to the horror,fear and shock.

In the village of United Soy, Londiani,David Bii, who is a roasted maize salesman, has described how he avoided a death trap.

"Mom now came by the way she heard on the way there an accident was found at the junction, now she ran to the church,I don't know my boy is still either,mom started telling me,by the way you are, I told him I am,"Bii narrated.

His family has said despite the nation mourning over 50 Kenyans, for them they have every reason to smile.

"Now I was very shocked because this father's child was alive," said his wife Bii.

This enrolls where families continue to identify the bodies of their loved ones, with 18 families obtaining permission to transport them and take the bodies of their loved ones for funeral activities except twelve bodies have not yet been identified.

Trustworthy circles notify us that about 21 families are unaware of their loved ones.

Michael Ayabain is an officer in the Red Cross Department they have so far discovered 36 bodies out of 54.

"The reported cases so far are 54 and we have been able to close about 36 of them,"he said.

And if it is two days after the same trailer causes a disaster in this commercial center, the container of the same trailer remains only in the area of the disaster.
