Man found dead a day he was to attend court

A 64 years-old man was Tuesday morning found dead in his house in Kariany village in Rachuonyo east Sub County.

The man identified as Hezron Ouko was alone in the house but he has a family which lives elsewhere.

Neighbours said Ouko was supposed to attend a court session over a land dispute in the family the day he was found dead.

Kodhoch West chief Charles Dete confirming the incident said the body did not have any visible injuries.

The chief said that it is suspected the man could have been killed by someone who gained entry by breaking through the wall but urged the residents to remain calm as the police carry out investigation into the death.

Chief Dete revealed that the body has been transferred to Okita nursing home in Kadongo awaiting post mortem examination.
