Manchester City crowned EUFA Super Cup winners

Manchester City are the 2023/2024 EUFA Super Cup winners.
The English Premier League (EPL) champions came from behind to beat Sevilla 5-4 via post match penalties on Wednesday night in Athens, Greece.
City and the Spanish La Liga side met having won the EUFA Champions League and EUROPA League respectively, last season.
Youssef En-Neysri put Sevilla ahead in the 25th minute, before Cole Palmer levelled matters for City in the 63rd minute.
Both sides went out full throttle to win the game in normal time, but a winner was not forth coming.
Penalties had to settle the tie.
Both teams scored their first four spot-kicks, then Kyle Walker converted City's fifth.
However, Sevilla's Nemanja Gudelj smashed his kick against the crossbar, handing the English Champions their first Super Cup title.
It is the Citizen's fourth trophy of 2023, after the EPL, FA and the Champions League.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has now lifted a record-equalling fourth Super Cup, after two with Barcelona and one with FC Bayern Munich.
City will be back in action against Newcastle United in a league encounter, on Saturday.
