Government is to use “one government approach” as a way of unlocking bottlenecks that could be affecting government funded projects to ensure that government projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The approach will help in eliminating stalled projects within the counties and in the regions, so that the intended impact is felt by the citizens at the grassroots.

The Director of Delivery Services in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary John Ndeiritu said all government heads should work together which is now known as one government approach to ensure that there are no stalled projects.

The Director oversees the establishment of the National government development-county implementation co-ordination and management committee Narok which was previously called County Development Implementation and Coordination Committee (CDICC).

The county committee will be chaired by the County Commissioner and is mandated in the implementation coordination in relation to tracking and monitoring of all programmes and projects of the national government.

On his part, Narok County Commissioner (CC) Isaac Masinde said it’s good to have one government approach in order to run government activities as a whole and work as a team.

The CC noted that all government officials should be seen in public barazas and be visible in the implementation of projects and must be felt by the people at the grassroots level.

The CC called on the National Government Administrators Officers to be committed, accountable to their work and be aware of all activities that are going on in their respective departments as directed by the president.

The CC said they would be monitoring government projects closely to ensure that project implementations are done effectively.

“We will be monitoring projects time to time, to ensure all projects are implemented efficiently and effectively,” said Masinde

The implementation management committees headed by national government administration officers were established to liaise with the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary for the tracking and monitoring of policies, programmes and projects at the grassroots.
