Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has expressed his deep sorrow and condolences following the horrific fire at Hillside Endarasha Academy in Kieni, Nyeri County, which claimed the lives of 17 students.

The fire, which broke out early in the morning, on Friday, September 6, 2024 left families and communities devastated.

"I join the nation in expressing my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones affected by the tragic fire at Hillside Endarasha Academy in Kieni, Nyeri County, which claimed the precious lives of young pupils," he wrote.

Mudavadi called for a full investigation into the cause of the fire, stressing the need for accountability and justice.

"As the investigation continues, we believe that every effort will be made to uncover the cause of this painful event, to ensure accountability and justice for all involved," he said.
