Tana River Sub County Deputy County Commissioner Andrew Mutua has cautioned night club and bar owners operating beyond legal hours and playing loud music in Hola town that their licenses will be withdrawn.

Speaking during the Sub County departmental heads meeting in his Hola office Wednesday, Mutua said some bars were playing loud music about 100 meters from the Hola County Referral Hospital, thus disturbing patients admitted at the hospital.

He said, “such behavior will not be tolerated therefore, the Sub County security team will be forced to have such bars and night clubs closed down until they comply”.

Mutua also urged the youth in Tana River to engage themselves in income generating projects to avoid being recruited into violent extremism groups, who are looking for idle youths.

He called on parents to guide their children and advise them well so that they become responsible Kenyans who are prepared to work in order to earn a living.

The administrator also urged religious organisations and institutions to preach true faith and not propaganda in their churches and mosques.
