Kenya Police extended their impressive run with a comfortable 2-0 win over bottom placed Nzoia Sugar in an FKFPL encounter that took place at the Police Sacco Stadium in South C on Sunday afternoon.
David Okoth was brought down in the box by keeper Fred Shiundu in the 33rd minute to earn a penalty for Nzoia which was perfectly sent into the right side of net by Kenneth Muguna.
Shiundu was forced into an excellent save in the 40th minute after a brilliant strike from Okoth.
The save resulted to a corner that was perfectly headed by Tito Okello to make it 2-0 for Police FC as they headed into the break.
In the 52nd minute, a sleek move by Police ended up with Okoth through on goal with a good opportunity to make it 3-0. But Shiundu made yet another excellent save to keep the tie 2-0.
Police dominated much of the second half but missed a number of chances to extend their lead but Nzoia looked too weak to fight back.
The Law enforcers bagged the three points putting them sixth place after 19 games, where they now sit on 27 points Posta Rangers.
Nzoia Sugar remain rock-bottom of the league on 13 points and will surely be beginning to wonder where their next win will come from.
