Al Arabi defeated former champions Al Sadd 2-1 in the final match of the season.
Olunga topped the scoring charts wight 22 goals, which means he scored an average of a goal in a game throughout the season.
Al Arabi's Al Somah scored 19 goals to tail Olunga.
Before the match, the Kenya foward made a three man shortlist for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season.
"Happy to have been nominated for the best player (MVP) award of the season," said Olunga.
Nairobi Review earlier reported that in order to win the MVP gong, the former Gor Mahia striker will have to negotiate a corner against Tunisian Yousef Msakni and Akram Afif who both play for Al Arabi.
Olunga's side is coached by Argentina legend Hernan Crespo.
