Prime Suspect in Narok township robberies and homicides arrested

Detectives from Narok have apprehended the Prime Suspect in connection to a series of robbery cases and murders causing Nightmares in Narok Township.
Stephen Oloichoki alias Musa Sopia, was arrested on Thursday following months of unsuccessful manhunt.
He was arrested while in possession of crude weapons including a dagger, a sword and a Maasai rungu.
According to the DCI, Musa has previously served a15-year jail term for felony crimes until his release on March 2024.
Since his release, the Suspect is said to have gone back to his criminal ways, recently captured on a CCTV while breaking into a shop where he fleed with crates of bread.
The suspects has terrorized Narok township business operations, accosting them during night hours and clobbering them with his favorite crude weapons. Some of his victims are reported to have succumbed to injuries.
A statement by the DCI further reveals that the suspect had, On Monday, October 28 at around midnight, struck a man dead at at Ololulunga area in Narok South.
CCTV footage obtained in the same location of the crime scene was able to identify Oloichoki wearing the same clothes he was in while robbing a store earlier.
The suspect has since confessed to several attacks and showed investigators places where he sold the valuables stolen from his victims, leading to the arrest of three more suspects namely; Timothy Manyara, Samuel Kibutu Ngongo and John Ndung'u Wanjiru.
It has also been established that Oloichoki had been handed a life sentence for a violent robbery by the Narok court in 2009, only to be released 15 years later in March this year after an appeal. Even so, his previous life in crime quickly caught up with him.
DCI reveals that Under investigations are six deaths in which Oloichoki is implicated, all committed between April and October, 2024. Appropriate charges including robbery with violence have been preferred against him at Narok Law Courts.
