A brace from Mo Salah gave Liverpool bragging rights over 10-man Everton at the Mercyside derby played at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. 

Everton tried to be reselient after picking up an early red card by Ashley Young which saw sean Dyche's men struggle to hold a charged Liverpool. 

Liverpool win send them to the top of the Premier league standings above Tottenham and Arsenal on goal difference. 

The Victory against Everton also maintained Jurgen Klop's perfect run of performance against their neighbors having only lost one of the 29 Mercyside derbies and remain unbeaten again Everton at Anfield since 1999.

Liverpool toiled to make their man advantage count, but finally achieved the breakthrough 15 minutes from time when Salah smashed home from the penalty spot after Michael Keane handled.

Salah made good use of a clinical assist from Darwin Nunez to save the three points only seven minutes from stoppage time. 

No fixture has had more red cards in the Premier League era that clashes between these two. 

Everton started the match on a high putting more pressure on the reds until the red card incident disgraced their prowess. 

Klopp had expressed his dissatisfaction for being picked on early Kick-offs just hours after some of his stars returned after playing for their countries in South American World Cup qualifying.

The return of the Premier league after an international break sees an action packed weekend with defending champions Manchester city welcoming seagulls at Etihad both teams with struggling form while the blockbuster of the day sees Chelsea welcome on-fire Arsenal in the London derby at Stamford Bridge. 

The Saturday football will culminate with Manchester United's trip to the blades at Shieffield.
