Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has described Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru and National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi as true gamblers.
This follows their decision to join Deputy President William Ruto in Kenya Kwanza Coalition that was formally unveiled on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
Waiguru joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) while Muturi, who was the Democratic Party (DP) presidential candidate recently joined the alliance.

Both Waiguru and Muturi were allies of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
But according to Ole Kina, a decision made by the Kirinyaga Governor and Justin Muturi to support DP Ruto, alongside other individuals that had been elected on a Jubilee ticket was based on their selfish interests.
In a tweet, the vocal Senator said those supporting the DP are doing so because they know they can’t win any elective seat in the upcoming general election.
“Gov Ann Waiguru, Speaker Muturi and a few other old “friends” of Uhuru went to UDA to look for jobs because they can’t be elected/re-elected! Not because they know something we don’t! They are true Gamblers,” Ole Kina tweeted.
Ole Kina is a close ally of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who will be flying the Azimio la Umoja coalition presidential flag.
The coalition has at least 23 parties, among them ODM, Jubilee, Wiper, Narc Kenya, and Narc.
Raila will be facing off with a candidate from the Kenya Kwanza coalition that comprises 12 parties.
Deputy President William Ruto is the presumed presidential candidate of the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Following the massive exit from the Jubilee party to UDA for politicians from the Mount Kenya region, there have been efforts led by President Uhuru Kenyatta to win back the hearts of the voters.
Mount Kenya is a vote-rich county and pundits believe a coalition that gets a bigger share of the region’s votes will have an upper hand in the August 9, 2022, presidential election.
