Tyson Otieno leaves Sharks, joins Police FC
By Peter Ochieng
Tyson Otieno has traded Kariobangi Sharks for Police FC, ahead of the 2023/24 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) premier league season.
The midfielder was being eyed by various premier league clubs, among them champions Gor Mahia.
Police FC coach Francis Baraza is on a mission to revamp his midfield, before the start of the new season.
"His move to the club will be an added advantage, considering Coach Francis Baraza's need to revamp midfield for quality and depth. Next season will be fire," the club shared online.
Otieno becomes Police FC's second summer signing.
He joins a day after former Western Stima, Gor Mahia and Azam FC player Kenneth Muguna joined the side.
The former Gor Mahia skipper's two year contract with Azam ended last month.
"I know how amazing it feels to win and what it takes to do it. New adventure, new challenge. Let's get to work police FC," said Muguna.
Police FC finished third in the just concluded FKF premier league 2022/2023 season, behind champions Gor Mahia and runners up Tusker FC.
The team is among those expected to fight for the premier league title next season.
