Wetangula Speaks on joining Azimio after appeal from Kalonzo
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has said he will not be joining the Azimio la Umoja coalition despite advances from his political friend former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
On Wednesday during an interview with NTV, Kalonzo noted that the door is open for Wetangula to join Azimio, arguing that they have fought a lot of fights together and it is only fair that he joins ODM Leader Raila Odinga’s team to complete what they have been pushing for.
He, however, noted that he is yet to formally engage Wetangula on the move, adding that they have regular casual conversations but nothing serious.
“Wetangula is my brother and my friend. It would have been great if he joined me. We have suffered together, we were teargassed together in CORD and NASA,” Kalonzo said.

“I cannot go back. He is my friend, I don’t want to engage him, but I’m happy where I am. We are going to form government, we are going to win this election, there are indications everywhere even you can see for yourself.
As to whether he misses working with Kalonzo, the Ford-Kenya leader said Kenya Kwanza is incomplete without the Wiper leader.
“We are incomplete without him, so its mutual,because nobody can deny that he is my best political friend in Kenya and am his best political friend. We always acknowledge that, but him he was pulled by the boss to where he is. I am in no doubt that he is in some certain degree of discomfort,” Wetangula opined.
Being the political transfer window, nothing can be ruled out as politicians are known to change the minds at the slightest opportunity possible and depending with the situation on the ground.
