Seth Olale pens emotional farewell message as he leaves NTV

Senior current affairs reporter Seth Olale has bid goodbye to the Nation Media Group-owned Television, NTV. Olale announced his exit in an emotional message shared on his social media pages. The journalist who doubled up as an investigative and sports reporter at NTV has been at the media house for the last 11 years. In his goodbye message, Seth Olale described the station as an amazing institution. He first joined Nation Media Group as an intern and has been able to rise through the ranks to be a senior reporter. “It's been an incredible decade serving at the Nation Media Group, NTV Broadcasting Division, right from a Sports intern in 2011 to a Senior Current Affairs and Investigative Reporting. I am forever indebted to this amazing institution for the overwhelming support it gave me over the years through the management and its dedicated staff,” he captioned his photo standing outside the Nation Centre, along Kimathi Street in Nairobi. [Photo: Courtesy][/caption]In a past interview, the journalist gave details of how he was selected among 58 applicants to join Nation Media Group as an intern It is not yet established where he is destined to, but according to media reports, he is headed to Royal Media Services-owned Citizen TV. Seth Olale’s exit comes days after Joe Ageyo re-joined NTV after exiting Citizen TV where he served as Editorial Director for four years. Ageyo was previously at the Standard Media Group where he rose from general news reporter to managing editor. Nation Media Group (NMG) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stephen Gitagama while announcing Joe Ageyo’s appointment said he will be in charge of the editorial functions of NMG’s broadcast operations in Kenya across multimedia platforms.
