Pastor Ezekiel to be charged with mass killings

Controversial Pastor Ezekiel Ombok Odero of the New Life Prayer Centre in Mavueni, Kilifi County will face criminal charges related to the mass killing of his followers, says CS Interior Kithure Kindiki.

The Pastor was arrested in Kilifi County Thursday and transferred to the Coast Regional Police Headquarters for interrogation.

“The said Church has been shut down. The over 100 people who were holed up at the premises have been evacuated and will be required to record statements,’’ said CS Kithure Kindiki in his verified Twitter account.

 Coast Regional Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha in a press briefing in the morning confirmed the arrest of the Pastor over the allegations of deaths that have been occurring at his church reported in various morgues and institutions.

Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s Lawyer Jared Magolo was cagey about the interrogation only saying the “police are on a fishing expedition”.
