Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua has continued his criticism of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking during an interview on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, the Mathira legislator claimed that President Kenyatta had run out of ideas and resorted to character assassination.
" I want to say the President has shown serious signs of pain and frustration after his projects failed," said Gachagua.
The lawmaker who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto claimed further that the decision by the head of state to impose his "project" on Kenyans had failed.

Gachagua argued that President Kenyatta's move to openly and frequently attack his Deputy is a clear indication he had run out of options, claiming Kenyans have declined his move.
"The President thought that he would influence his kinsmen to certain directions but now people have defied his order and he is requesting the elders' directions to help him," he said.
The legislator's sentiments come barely 2 days after President Uhuru Kenyatta met with elders from the Mount Kenya region in a bid to drum up support for ODM leader Raila Odinga.
According to Gachagua, President Kenyatta asked the elders to help him 'dismantle' DP Ruto in Mt Kenya.
The lawmaker claimed that a section of the elders had revealed that Uhuru sought sympathy from the elders by claiming that DP Ruto wanted to impeach him.
"The elders told us the President was desperate and they were asked to help him dismantle the influence of the DP. One selling point from the meeting was telling that Ruto wanted to impeach him to get sympathy.
"The people who the orders were intended for have different ideas of what he should have been discussed. He should have explained to them why the economy handed to him by President Mwai Kibaki was declining," he stated.
Gachagua stated that a number of the elders that attended the meeting resented Uhuru's requests.
"Most of the elders are our friends and they were shocked at the level of the President's desperation. In their own words, they stated that he has bitten more than he can chew. The whole session was a cry to help him penetrate the Mt Kenya region.
"He wants the tides to be changed with outright lies and the people are saying that they are not interested," he said.
