Three held over burglary

Police in Kisii County are holding three suspects over a spate of burglary after they were found with an assortment of goods believed to have been stolen. 

Kisii County Commander Charles Kases said the suspects were found with the stolen goods in a rented house at around 4am.

Kases said that for the past one week, they have been receiving reports of burglary and house breaking around Jogoo area in the outskirts of Kisii town.

“We managed to recover six television sets, music systems, gas cylinders, motor vehicle keys, motorcycle number plates and academic certificates,” said Kases. 

He said preliminary investigations into the incident indicated that the accused have an assortment of tools and weapons used for their activities adding that they may be arraigned in court soon.

Kases asked members of the public who might have lost their belongings to come and identify them from the recovered items.
