Former Kisumu West MP lands government appointment

Former Kisumu West Member of Parliament (MP) John Olago Aluoch has landed a role in president William Ruto's administration.
Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Proffessor Njuguna Ndung'u has appointed him the chairperson of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) board for a period of three years.
Former Kajiado County Women Representative Janet Taiyaa and former nominated Senator Naomi Shiyonga will serve as members of the board for the same period.
Olago lost the Kisumu West MP race to ODM's Rosah Akinyi Buyu during the 2022 general polls.
Elsewhere, president Ruto has re-constituted the Advisory Committee on the Power of Mercy, appointing 7 new members.
They are Dr. Lorna Mutoro Mumelo, Patrick Musau Musila, John Kutswa Olaka, Dr. Edward Kibiwott Boor, Reverend Humpton Rogers Namu, Bishar Maalim Abdullahi and Jane Wanjiru Kuria.
The Head of State has also named Prof. Collins Odote Oloo as the new Non-Executive Chairperson of the Council of Legal Education for a period of three years.
He replaces former Attorney General Professor Githu Muigai who resigned this week.
On the other hand, Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Susan Wafula Nakhumicha has appointed Allyce Kureiya Esintelle to be a member of the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) board.
Jawahira Hussein Haji has been appointed to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Tissue and Transplant Authority.
They will both serve for a period of three years.
Agriculture CS Frankline Mithika Linturi has appointed Francis Lesas to be a member of the Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council for a period of 3 years.
