Busia Governor Fernandes Barasa has said health facilities in the county will soon receive drugs and non-pharmaceutical equipment worth Sh.200 million.
Barasa said the drugs have already been ordered and before long they will be delivered to various hospitals.
“For better health and service delivery, drugs and non-pharmaceuticals must be procured to help our people in the region access general health care,” he said
The governor was speaking in Mumias West during a tour of several projects including the Musanda dispensary.
He commended community health promoters (CHPs) and healthcare workers for their dedication to their work.
The county boss also inspected the construction works at Bungasi market saying the process is on track and will be completed and commissioned this financial year.
He was accompanied by members of the county assembly led by the speaker James Namatsi, CECMS, chief officers, and other senior government officers.
