Posta Rangers stunned by Nairobi City

League leaders Posta Rangers fell 1-0 to Nairobi City in an FKF Kenyan Premier league match played at Kenyataa Stadium in Machakos County on Saturday afternoon. 

City Stars took the lead in the 17th minute when Samuel Kapen dribbled past Robinson Asemwa from the left wing before delivering a powerful shot past goalkeeper John Njau.

Rangers made tactical changes in the second half with John Macharia coming off for Lewis Shivachi, while Brian Marita replaced Caleb Olilo.

Nairobi City's coach Muyoti introduced Brian Mzee and Dennis Wanjala to strengthen their defense line against a highly pressing rangers.

Nairobi City maintained their reselience forcing the match to end in their favor a victory that saw the Nairobi based club move up two places to the eighth position with 18 points from 13 matches, while Rangers remained on top of the table with 23 points.

In other matches played today, KCB came from behind to level a 1-1 draw against Shabana as Ulinzi stars beat Talanta 3-0.

Meanwhile, Second placed Gor Mahia have a chance to move on top with a win over Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday
