Kakamega Governor Fernades Barasa yesterday engaged Mumias West residents in a public participation forum held in Musanda Ward where they actively engaged in a question and answer session with the executive.
The public offered dynamic ideas and asked the executive to keenly involve them in decision making and projects across the region.
Governor Barasa addressed a wide range of issues including tarmacking of roads and revitalization of Mumias Sugar.
“We want to involve all the locals while initiating projects in the County and it is also important you give your views on the projects,” said Barasa.
The Governor said the County would rely on the Kakamega County’s transformative 3rd Generation Integrated Development Plan for Sustainable Development.
The event was attended by the Roots Party Leader George Wajackoyah and area MP Johnson Naica and MCAs.
