Two Suspects including MCA, arrested for bhang trafficking

Detectives from the Transnational Organized Crimes Unit have arrested two suspects in connection to drug trafficking of Cannabis Sativa. 

Nura Abdi Diba, 25 and Abdillahi Golicha Meja, 27 were arrested by the multi - agency team on the outskirts of Isiolo town in Possession 57 stones of bhang stashed in a house.

The DCI established that the second suspect Abdillahi Golicha Meja is a sitting Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Chari Ward in Isiolo County. 

According to the DCI, The two were flagged down within Isiolo town while driving a motor vehicle make Toyota Land Cruiser Reg No. KDG 034G, before the team proceeded to the house of Nura Abdi Diba at Kambi Garba Estate on the outskirts of Isiolo town where six gunny bags containing the 57 stones of the prohibited herb were recovered. 

The crime exhibits were escorted to DCI Headquarters as the suspects were interrogated for further investigations pending their arraignment in court.
