34 CEOs in ‘hot soup’ for failing to comply with Ruto’ directive
By Peter Ochieng
Thirty-four Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of government agencies have been put on notice, for failing to comply with President William Ruto’s directive.
They have been fingered for failing to adhere to the directive of digitizing all operations through the e-citizen platform to enhance transparency, over a year down the line.
In his address during the first anniversary of e-Citizen Directorate in Nairobi, the Head of State listed the affected CEOs and directed them to comply within one week, or ‘face the music.’
"These entities have yet to comply with my directive that their services, revenue payments must be on e-citizen so that the treasury can follow on the revenues collected by the government. They have one week to comply. Otherwise, they know what to do, they can make use of the door, it's as simple as that," said a seemingly agitated President.
"When I campaigned, I made a fundamental statement, I said in my administration there would be no money to steal and part of that journey is through digitisation. Through this, we connect service delivery to revenue collection."
Here is a list of the affected entities:
National Cancer Institute of Kenya
Kenya Hospital Authority Trust Fund
