AFC Leopards fined, deducted points

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League side AFC Leopards has been put to the sword.
Ingwe as Leopards are known in football circles will have to contend with harsh decisions from the FKF leagues and competitions committee, owing to the Club's involvement in the abandoned FKF match against Kakamega Homeboyz over the weekend.
A statement signed by FKF Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Barry Otieno directs that Kakamega Homeboyz be awarded three points and two goals, from the abandoned game.
Homeboyz were leading 1-0 before the match was abandoned in the first half, at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega County.
Match referee was attacked during the scuffle which arose after Homeboyz scored.
Otieno directed that AFC Leopards be docked a further three points from the already accumulated.
AFC Leopards shall also cater or refund for treatment of center referee Michael Obuya, besides playing their next four games behind closed doors.
Additionally, AFC Leopards will be required to pay a fine of Sh500,000.
The committee made a recommendation that disciplinary proceedings be opened against AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems and Lawrence Webo, for their conduct in the said match.
Leopards are ranked 6th on the FKF PL log with 40 points after 24 rounds of matches.
With deduction of three points, Aussems charges will trade positions with 7th placed Bandari FC.
Bandari has amassed 39 points from 24 games.
