Bonnie Musambi joins UDA to contest Kitui Central seat

By Julius Tuwei Former KBC presenter Bonnie Musambi has officially joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. The veteran Presenter was received by Deputy President William Ruto at his Karen residence on Friday, March 25, 2022. Taking to his social media page, Mr Musambi highlighted that the decision to join UDA was arrived at after a series of deliberations and consultations with Kitui Central leaders and constituents. "I was received and commissioned by Deputy President William Samoei Ruto at his Karen residence, as the UDA candidate for Kitui Central Parliamentary seat, 2022. The move by Musambi comes as a boost for UDA and the Kenya Kwanza Alliance who are making moves at solidating support from the Eastern region. Musambi is seeking election in Kitui Central on a UDA ticket, on the other hand, County governor, Charity Ngilu is a harsh critic of DP Ruto. The former KBC presenter boasts a decorated career in the media and is among the most celebrated journalists in the country. He is looking to transform his virtual audience to votes as he seeks to represent the people of Kitui Central. Musambi quit his job at KBC after 14 years of service and ventured into private work before establishing his own radio Station broadcasting in Kiswahili and Kamba. Apart from his usual work, the journalist engages in humanitarian service.
