As the National dialogue talks between the Azimio la Umoja and the Kenya Kwanza political brigades takes shape, the clergy has urged both sides of the divide to remain truthful to uphold, peace and reconciliation among communities.
Making the call ArchBishop Andrew Osin of St Alfayo Roho in Kano Kochieng, Nyando said “It’s my challenge to all of our men of God to refrain from taking sides but to remain true to their call of being intercessors for peace to prevail because that’s the only work for us because politics and religion don’t mix because what is happening where our young people who are the leaders of tomorrow are being killed making the future dim for the country,” poised Osin
Osin called on President Ruto to awaken to the cry of the country of marauding hunger and work to unite the country irrespective of tribe.
“It is our plea to President Ruto and Raila to work together for the mercy of God because we are the salt of the world and if we lose our taste then peace will be elusive,” Osin said.
Evangelist John Onyango of Holy Ghost Church of East Africa sent a plea to president Ruto and Raila to embrace talks that will broker peace for the country to avert further bloodshed of innocent people.
