Dala Sevens tournament on,  hosts Kisumu lose first match

The National Sevens Circuit (NSC) Dala Sevens tournament is on at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Kisumu.

The two day tournament will end tommorrow, with all eyes reigning NSC champions Menangai Oilers, Dala Sevens champions Homeboyz and last year's runners up, KCB.

The three sides are highly expected to contests for the title.

Hosts Kisumu already have their work cut out, alter losing the first group match.

Kisumu went down 5-17 against Strathmore Leos in a group C encounter.

Kabras Sugar defeated Day Star Falcons 21-19 in another group C clash.

In group A, Nakuru and Nondescrits managed a 14-14 draw, while Menengai Oilers beat Catholic Monks 19-14.

Group B matches saw KCB thrash Mombasa 36-0, as Kenya Herlequins defeated Masinde Muliro 21-17.

By the time of going to press, Mwamba had just beaten Western Bulls 12-7 in a group D match Hosts Kisumu will play Kabras at 13:30, before ending group C matches against Day Star Falcons at 16:20.

Pool C: Strathmore Leos, Kabras Sugar, Daystar Falcons, Kisumu

Pool D: Homeboyz, Mwamba, Western Bulls, Makueni
