DP Gachagua, spouse hosts Mount Kenya youth for festive season

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua alongside his spouse Pastor Dorcas Rigathi hosted a group of youths from across the Mount Kenya Region for the festive seasons at his Nyeri home on Wednesday afternoon. 

The Deputy president addressed the menace of illicit brew challenging the youths in the region and avenues to resort the menace. 

He insisted that the government will not loosen its grip on the fight against Illicit brew and Drug abuse. 

"We have made great progress in the war against illicit alcohol and drug abuse in Kenya.

Our resolve to fully deal with the menace is firm." DP Said. 

The second in Command had been vocal adressing the drug abuse challenge affecting youths and has been on the forefront in leading the war against drug abuse while the second lady has been on the lead in adressing challanges facing the boy child. 

Gachagua hailed the government for the progress it has made towards combating drug abuse celebrating the youths for embracing reforms. 

"Nothing gives me great pleasure than this progress we have made in the battle.

I celebrate our youth for heeding our call to abandon the vices and embrace productive ventures." He added. 

Gachagua mentioned that the youth are the greatest asset to the Nation noting that the Kenya Kwanza Administration is deliberate on strategic investment in sectors towards youth empowerment.
