Kisumu set to host Dala Sevens

All roads in Kisumu will lead to the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Mamboleo, this weekend, for action packed Dala Sevens.

The draw is already out, as fans look forward to a fan filled, thrilling weekend on August 17 and 18th, 2024. According to the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU), 2024 Ingo 7s Champions and Christie 7s runner’s up, Kenya Harlequin headline Pool A of the Dala 7s.

They are joined by Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos and Mwamba RFC. KCB are in Pool B where they will meet Nondescript RFC, KU Blakblad and Homeboyz RFC.

Ingo 7s third place winners Kabras RFC will play MMUST, Stallions and tournament hosts Kisumu 7s in Pool C action, while Nakuru RFC, Catholic Monks, Daystar Falcons and Zetech Oaks will complete Pool D in the Division one category.

In the Division two category, the Ingo7s runner-up Kabarak University tops Pool A, joined by KCA University, Western Bulls and Tororo RFC.

Pool B sees Sigalagala National Polytechnic, Northern Suburbs, Bungoma RFC and MKU Thika face off, while Pool C has TUM Marines, AP Warriors, Vihiga Granites and Nandi Bears.

Pool D has Embu RFC, Homabay Rugby, Mbale RFC and Siaya while the final Pool has Shamberere TTI, NYS Spades, Mean Machine and Kifaru RFC.

The standby teams are Makueni RFC, Kisumu Polytechnic and Molo RFC. Dala 7s tickets are available on tikohub.co.ke. Regular tickets are 500 while VIP tickets are 1000.

Pool A: Kenya Harlequin, Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos, Mwamba RFC

Pool B: KCB, Nondescript RFC, KU Blakblad, Homeboyz RFC
