The majority leader in Kisumu County Assembly Seth Ochieng Kanga continues to attract livid condemnation concerning his utterances concerning Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo.

MCA Kolwa Central Ward Kelvin Oraro condemned Kanga and his budgetary chair colleague Joakim Oketch popularly known as Swagga terming their utterances as out of order.

“As leaders, we want to humbly plead with our colleagues especially in Kisumu Assembly to accord other leaders, at whatever level, their deserved respect and what our whip and budget chair do, heaping abuses on leaders appointed by the President, shouldn’t happen at their level as leaders,” pointed Oraro.

Oraro further defended Omollo and appealed to the members of the public to ensure they accord due respect to all the appointed leaders.

“As Luos we are all very much aware that we did not vote for President Ruto but if it happens that by some fluke we can secure any form of development from this administration, then we should embrace such with both hands,” appealed Oraro

Oraro urged the Luo nation to accord respect to any Luo appointed to serve in the present regime whether they were of help to the Luo nation or not.

Oraro accused the duo of eying some appointive positions within the constituency and attempting to gain political mileage through the abuses but maintained that any appointed leader must be accorded due respect.

West Nyakach MCA Gad Olima commenting on the issue reiterated that Dr. Omollo has been very industrious to the Luo nation on the development front and should be accorded ample time to serve the people.

“We know too well that we did not vote for the Kenya Kwanza government but as tax paying citizens, we too deserve government services for our people and we cannot denounce a leader we have been given,” noted Olima

They maintained that leaders must be respected saying they would stand with Omollo and would not allow certain individuals to disrespect the sons of Luo who were now the representatives of Luos in the current regime.

Mercy Akenge, the coordinator of UDA in Homa Bay County challenged the Luo nation to refrain from back biting and allow those who wanted to propagate development in the community to do so.

She urged those elected in various positions in the Luo nation to stop politicking and concentrate on matters development since the time of politics is over and now it’s time to propagate development and unite the people.

She accused those disrespecting the chosen leaders of brewing jealousy and plotting the breakup of the Luo nation.
