Dismissing of their case Bungoma Judge Jemima Kelly, gave Governor Kenneth Lusaka a go ahead to swear in the new Chief Officers he had appointed to replace the seven who were serving under the administration of the former governor Wycliffe Wangamati.
The newly sworn in chief officers are Reuben Wambwa (Chief Officer Trade), Everlyne Wekesa (Public administration) and Robert Simiyu (Agriculture).
Deputy Governor Jenifer Mbatiany welcomed the new Chief Officers on board.
Lusaka expressed confidence in the performance of his newly sworn in officers and said he is ready to work with them.
He confirmed that he will advertise more positions for Chief Officers by August 28, 2023.
Kanduyi MP John Makali, thanked the County Assembly for undertaking the vetting process diligently.
He told the County Chief Officers that they will be held accountable for all resources that are allocated to the county.
"You should be very alert and do work that reflects the value of money, because you will be held accountable even after you leave office." Makali stated.
