Manchester United Chief Executive Omar Berrada has outlined an ambitious vision for the return of the club to the summit of European football, a position the Red Devils once dominated.

Speaking in a press conference over the future of the club, Berrada expressed confidence that leadership changes and the strengthening of the squad would be pivotal in Manchester United's resurgence.

"We want to bring back the club to where it belongs-to the top of European football," said Berrada.

Manchester United, once the unflappable rulers of the Premier League and Europe but now faded since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, has been working relentlessly to try and regain its status among continental elite clubs.

To that effect, he cited the two most important landmarks that happened in the summer transfer window when the Club strengthened their resources with five new signings.

The signings are intended to improve the key areas of the team with a view to building on the success for the forthcoming years.

Although Berrada refused to name exactly who those five signings are, the moves do follow Manchester United's strategy of signing youngsters with great potential, along with experienced and ready stars.

"We have strengthened our men's first team with five exciting players," said Berrada, while underlining the fact that this did not target only short-term ambitions but a highly competitive team for the next few years.

These signings will, at last, give manager Erik Ten Hag the tools to express his style of football and challenge for most domestic and international silverware.

Aside from signings, the importance of a new football leadership structure was underlined by Berrada.

That is, with the new structure in place, more support will be availed to manager Erik ten Hag in his second season at Old Trafford.

The reshuffle at the top is designed to have a more joined-up approach from the club at all levels of football management.

"We have put a new football leadership structure in place to support our manager, Erik ten Hag, even better," confirmed Berrada, arguing that the structural changes were to align the club's sporting goals with the greater vision.

These are major moves that fans hope will finally begin to pay dividends as Manchester United go into the 2024/25 season.
