Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.
The aggreement completed with PSG for €50m initial fee, €10m add-ons also included for €60m total package.
Ugarte will travel to Manchester today for medical as Manuel only wanted United, United only wanted him.
Personal terms between the player's camp and United have been agreed in July as exclusively revealed.
Manchester United never sent bids for any other midfielder than Manuel Ugarte since He’s always been their primary option and considered a perfect fit for their midfield.
Despite earlier difficulties in the deal, United never left talks because Ugarte informed PSG that he only wanted to play for Man Utd.
PSG initially demanded the full £51.1 million (€60m/$67.4m) they paid Sporting Lisbon last summer, but the clubs compromised to ensure the deal went through.
Ugarte’s move to Manchester United was made possible by the recent sales of Facundo Pellistri to Panathinaikos and Hannibal Mejbri to Burnley.
These departures created the necessary space in Erik ten Hag’s squad for the dynamic midfielder, who led Ligue 1 in tackles last season despite starting just 21 games.
With Ugarte’s arrival, United fans can expect a tenacious and hardworking player ready to make an impact in the Premier League. His addition is seen as a crucial step in strengthening the midfield as United looks to compete for trophies in this season.
Ugarte comes at a time united is struggling to maintain it's consistency as they lost their second Premier league match against Brighton on Saturday.
United will face Liverpool at Old Trafford next weekend for their third Premier league match of the season.
