MCA Commends Kisumu County Over Flood Response

 Nyalenda B ward representative, Kisumu, James Oyugi has commended the county government for timely response to the plight of flood victims in Nyamasaria.

Oyugi lauded the county government led by the city manager Abala Wanga whom he praised for speedily responding to the distress call by Nyamasaria residents residing by the river banks after the flooding.

Oyugi thanked the county government for assigning tractors to undertake dredging of the clogged river points that were causing the flooding hence creating a way and smooth flow of the river to the lake.

“My name is James Oyugi, MCA Nyalenda B and I take this opportunity to thank the county government of Kisumu for speedily responding to our flood distress call for their timely response has helped save many lives,” he noted.

However, he pleaded with those residing in areas prone to flooding to migrate and move to safe grounds, warning that the flood menace is far from over, hence the lives of such residents are still endangered.

At the same time, Oyugi urged the residents of Nyalenda to take advantage of the ongoing recruitment drive and enlist as ODM members en masse urging those with smart phones to just dial *483*036# for them to register.
