Miguna unfollows Barack Obama
By Peter Ochieng
Advocate Joshua Miguna Miguna has called out former US President Barack Obama, for supporting 'the dismantle' of Palestinian group, Hamas by Israel.
In a post on X, the vocal Miguna called out Obama for being a hypocrite, declaring that he had unfollowed him on the social media platform.
"I've unfollowed you today," declared the self proclaimed general.
He was responding to Obama's message on the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel defense forces.
"All Americans should be horrified and outraged by the brazen terrorist attacks on Israel and the slaughter of innocent civilians. We grieve for those who died, pray for the safe return of those who’ve been held hostage, and stand squarely alongside our ally, Israel, as it dismantles Hamas," the former US president stated.
"As we support Israel’s right to defend itself against terror, we must keep striving for a just and lasting peace for Israelis and Palestinians alike."
The current fight between Israel and Hamas broke out over the weekend, after Hamas fire fighters unleashed a wave of attacks, including bombs against Gaza state.
Miguna insists that 'oppressed Palestinians' have a right to self determination.
"The oppressed, degraded and occupied Palestinians have a right to self-determination and dignity. They also have a right to their land and resources," he said. "Asking Palestinians to choose to live like slaves under forceful occupation, to flee to neighbouring Arab states, or to die is to normalize apartheid."
The conflict has seemingly caused a rift in Africa, with President William Ruto supporting Israel against the Hamas.
However, the African Union seems to be standing on the side of Hamas.
